individual therapy for adolescents and adults in eagle bend, mn

Compassionate therapy that meets you where you’re at, without judgement.

Life doesn’t look or feel the way you wish it did.

You want something more or something altogether different for your life. Therapy is helpful place to start sorting out goals for the future and breaking down barriers along the way.

I’m kaylyn.

I believe you deserve to feel seen, heard, and understood.

My approach is traditional talk therapy with a bit of humor at times, while still keeping it real. We will work on improving healthy boundaries and learning healthy, effective communication to improve your relationship with yourself and others in your life.

I enjoy doing the deep work with my patients to experience the kind of growth and transformation that they are coming to therapy for.

How I can help

I specialize in therapy for lasting change.

  • Life transitions can look different for everyone throughout our lifespan. Among many other things, this can include grief, a new job, a move, or being a caregiver. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills can be especially helpful to radically accept current situations for what they are while improving emotional reactivity. Together we can process the loss of what was and navigate the dynamics of what is.

  • Anxiety and/or depression can be consuming, but they don’t have to stay this way. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to challenge negative and anxious thought patterns, while inspiring for the future. Learn more.

  • Have you recently been diagnosed with ADHD? Were you diagnosed years ago but are ready now to learn new skills to manage the symptoms? Perhaps you have not officially been diagnosed yet but feel you may be struggling with symptoms that match the diagnosis. Together we can learn how your symptoms manifest and present in day to day activities, while learning the skills to help manage them.

*Please note I do not prescribe medications and while I may complete an initial assessment for a provisional diagnosis, a referral for ADHD testing with a qualified psychologist may be recommended. Learn more.

  • Adolescence can be a challenging chapter to navigate through. You need a space to openly process through your mental health and the happenings in your life, with someone who is unbiased, so that there are not any feelings of pressure, judgment, or influence.
