My main office is located in Eagle Bend, MN. On Tuesdays, I offer in person sessions in Alexandria, MN. I also offer video telehealth sessions. Due to licensing, you must be within Minnesota.

Online therapy works just the same as in person therapy, except in your own quiet, private space. I use a secure, HIPAA compliant video platform that you are sent a link for. Once connected, I will verify where you are to ensure safety and privacy, and the rest of the session will continue as any other session would.
*Please note, I am not currently offering EMDR online.

Unless you have recently completed a Diagnostic Assessment, your first appointment will typically be an intake appointment. During this hour of time, I will ask questions to gather information about your history and symptoms to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment planning. During a diagnostic assessment, you can expect lots of questions and typing so I can get a better understanding of what is bringing you into therapy. Don’t worry, there are no right or wrong answers, so you can just answer the best you can without any pressure.

There are no one size fits all, cookie cutter answers to this. Each individual is unique in their journey and what they seek in therapy. Therapy typically concludes when an individual feels they have met their goals.

If you are not using health insurance to pay for your care, by law, your health care provider is usually required to give you a good faith estimate of expected charges if you request one, or schedule services at least three business days in advance.
