Questions?

FAQs

  • My approach is traditional talk therapy with a bit of humor at times. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to connect how our thoughts affect our emotions, which affect our behaviors. We will also work to identify themes and patterns that may be present. We will address improving healthy boundaries and learning healthy, and effective, communication.

  • Being a teen can be challenging. You need a safe space to sort through everything in your world without feeling the pressure of being judged or influenced. You can also expect full privacy and confidentiality, with the exception of mandated reporter laws. Safety concerns will always be communicated with a legal guardian. If there are other things that come up that I feel should be communicated with your parent or caregiver, we will navigate that together so that you can feel confident that what you say in session stays in session.

  • It happens! Not every therapist is for every individual. You should shop for your therapist like you would shop for anything else. I want you to get what you are looking for in therapy so there is never any pressure to continue. Please communicate with me if there are things I can do differently to help you reach your goals, or if you would like a referral for a therapist with a different style or appoach.
